Dr. Süleyman Engin Akhan was born in Manisa in 1966. He completed his secondary and high school education at Saint Benoit French Boys’ High School between 1977 and 1985.
Between 1986 and 1992, he studied medicine at Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine.
After passing the Medical Specialty Examination, he completed his residency training in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine between 1993 and 1997.
In 1997, he became a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Between November 5, 1997 and March 12, 2003, he served as a Chief Resident in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine.
On March 12, 2003, he was awarded the title of Associate Professor.
On December 17, 2009, he was awarded the title of Professor by the Senate and Executive Board of Istanbul University.
Prof. Dr. Süleyman E. Akhan currently serves as a faculty member in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine.
